About the role: In this role you will provide support to the Engineering Function with the control of the Engineering Stores. The support provided will involve the constant stock takes to help replenish stocks used. Role Accountabilities: Maintenance systems stock - ensure critical spares for all machinery is stocked at recommended levels Purchase orders - assist the Eng Purchasing Manager with the raising of purchase orders through to completion with special care on pricing match to PO Engineering Budget - Update and track all PO's raised on the engineering spend tracker Stock Control - Carry out weekly stock takes as per plan and any other areas as directed by the Eng Purchasing Manager Chemical ordering - Assist the Eng Purchasing Manager with ordering all chemicals to ensure a continued supply Stores areas 5s' - Ensure the stores areas are always 100% technically compliant and no stock is ever placed on floors. Ensure all stock bins are clearly labelled, clean and uniform About you Previous administration experience Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products Good planning and organisation skills Flexible working attitude and great attention to detail Excellent communication skills, strong team-working and the ability to work unsupervised in a pressurised environment - all will be key to this role Knowledge of CMMS What you'll receive. About you Engineering apprenticeship (C&G / EAL NVQ Level 3 / 4 or OAL FDEM Diploma) Current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations (C&G Level 3, achieve within 12 months). Application of Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and procedures Planning works and writing reports. Verify assets meet performance criteria after work. Reading and adhering to site SOPs. CMMS experience (achieve within 12 months). This particular role is based at our Bakkavor Desserts site in Newark, Nottinghamshire and specialises in making chilled desserts such as trifles, creamcakes and choux pastries. The site employs over 1,900 people and is one of eight Manufacturing sites that are part of the Bakkavor Bakery sector in the UK. About the role We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding team and site. The Maintenance Engineer will conduct planned and predictive maintenance to prevent issues occurring. Your role will lead or support the operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups. Working with other teams, you will contribute to technical performance reviews and continuous improvement activities. Our Maintenance Engineers work as part of a team or standalone, depending on the task. The role reports to the Engineering Teams Manager Role Accountabilities Conduct planned maintenance of processing and packaging assets. Conduct predictive maintenance of food processing and packaging assets (condition-based monitoring). Respond to breakdowns. Conduct reactive maintenance or corrective actions to resolve deviation. Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) and action as required. Lead or support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups. Manufacture and repair component parts for processing and packaging assets. Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets or processes. About you Engineering apprenticeship (C&G / EAL NVQ Level 3 / 4 or OAL FDEM Diploma) Current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations (C&G Level 3, achieve within 12 months). Application of Safety, Health and Environmental legislation and procedures Planning works and writing reports. Verify assets meet performance criteria after work. Reading and adhering to site SOPs. CMMS experience (achieve within 12 months). Electrical bias Experience in the following would be advantageous - Mechanical principles, F&D assets, welding, machining, turning, hydraulic, pneumatic & thermodynamics systems and / or, electrical principals, motors, motor control circuits, motion control, encoders, PLCs, sensors.
