Our client is looking for an experienced Tender Writer to manage the end-to-end bid process, using your commercial skills to write persuasive and compliant proposals for commercial, industrial, or public sector cleaning contracts. Coordinating with the operations team to draft clear method statements, pricing schedules, and quality responses that secure new business. This is NOT a hybrid role, the successful candidate would need to work from the offices in Eastbourne on a daily basis. The hours are Monday - Friday 08:00am - 16:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch This is a 6 month fixed contract with the possibility to move to a permanent role. Job Overview Role: Tender Writer / Bid Writer Industry: Commercial Cleaning & Facilities Management Location: Office-based Reports to: Commercial Director Key Responsibilities Proposal Writing: Draft clear, persuasive, and evaluator-focused responses to Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs). Content Management: Create and maintain a centralized content library of standard cleaning processes, health & safety policies, and case studies. Technical Collaboration: Interview cleaning operations managers to gather site-specific data, staffing models, and equipment details. Compliance & Deadlines: Manage submission timelines, ensuring all mandatory attachments, accreditations (e.g., ISO, CHAS), and word limits are strictly met. Research: Review tender documents to identify client pain points, unique selling propositions (USPs), and winning themes. Requirements & Skills Experience: 2+ years of proven bid or tender writing experience, ideally within cleaning, facilities management, or service sectors. Writing Skills: Exceptional English grammar, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to turn technical cleaning specs into engaging text. Organization: Strong project management skills to handle multiple overlapping deadlines.
