Job Description
We're partnering with a Bank in their search for an UK Legal VP to support their team and contribute to their financial strategy. This is a 3 months temporary role offering hybrid working and based in London. This role is paying up to (Apply online only) per Day Umbrella for the right candidate.
The Role Join the IS UKMEA Legal Team as a lead advisor supporting a high-growth business. You will manage the legal life cycle of complex financial services-from drafting custody and outsourcing agreements to navigating global regulatory shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate & Draft: Lead on high-value service contracts (Fund Accounting, Analytics, Middle Office) for top-tier asset managers and insurance clients.
- Strategy: Advise on new product launches, jurisdictional expansions, and strategic M&A/Heads of Terms.
- Partner: Act as a key liaison for senior stakeholders in Risk, Compliance, and Business Development.
- Manage: Oversee external counsel and collaborate with global legal counterparts.
What You Bring
- 8+ years PQE with a City law firm or major in-house background.
- Expertise in financial services, commercial outsourcing, or M&A.
- Mindset: A "can-do," solution-oriented approach with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for executive stakeholders.
