Night Porter

We are looking for enthusiastic Night Porter to start work as part of Dovecliffs' expanding friendly team on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Security & Safety:
  • Conducting regular patrols of the building, checking that all doors, windows, and fire exits are secure.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for emergencies, such as fires, and following evacuation procedures.
  • Monitoring guest access, identifying, and addressing any unauthorized individuals on the premises.
• Guest Service:
  • Checking in guests arriving late and checking out guests departing early.
  • Providing assistance with luggage, answering queries, and handling requests via phone or in-person.
  • Operating the night bar or delivering room service snacks to guests.
• Maintenance & Cleaning:
  • Performing cleaning tasks in the lobby, bar, and restaurant areas
  • Reporting maintenance faults, such as broken equipment or lights.
• Administrative & Operational Tasks:
  • Managing the switchboard and taking messages.
  • Preparing the breakfast area and setting up tables for the morning.
  • Accepting early morning deliveries.
