A specialist role supporting pupils who are medically absent, anxious, or out of mainstream education, including hospital-based and reintegration provision.
The focus is on wellbeing, re-engagement and continuity, not pushing curriculum.
The role:
Mostly 1:1 or very small-group support
Supporting pupils who may be fatigued, anxious or emotionally overwhelmed
Flexible sessions around treatment, recovery or reintegration plans
Liaising with families, schools and professionals
This role suits someone who:
Has SEN / SEMH / pastoral / therapeutic experience
Is emotionally intelligent and adaptable
Is comfortable with slow, non-linear progress
Understands regulation before learning
