Salary: £85 £110 per day (depending on experience)

The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain further experience in a classroom setting, graduates considering a career in teaching, or experienced supervisors seeking flexible work in the Havering area.

The successful candidate will oversee classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task, maintain high standards of behaviour, and complete the work set.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-set work and ensure pupils understand instructions.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, engagement, and behaviour.
• Support pupils social, emotional, and personal development within the classroom.
• Provide feedback to the school leadership team regarding lesson progress and student conduct.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children or young people (coaching, youth work, or school-based experience is desirable).
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and a confident presence.
• Be highly organised, reliable, and adaptable to different subject areas.
• Have a clear understanding of the importance of maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Show a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills.
