About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Commercial and Residential Property Department. The successful candidate will support fee earners in managing a varied caseload of commercial and residential property transactions, ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Property- Assisting with acquisitions and disposals of commercial premises
- Drafting and reviewing leases, licences to assign, and deeds of variation
- Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
- Conducting property searches and reviewing title documentation
- Assisting with refinancing transactions and secured lending matters
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and third parties
Residential Property- Supporting conveyancers with freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Preparing contract packs and draft transfer documents
- Ordering and reviewing searches
- Handling post-completion formalities including SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations
- Managing client onboarding, ID verification, and AML compliance
General Duties- Managing files from instruction through to completion under supervision
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records
- Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
- Responding promptly to client queries
- Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and internal procedures
- Assisting with billing and file closure processes
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
- law degree
- Strong understanding of conveyancing processes preferred
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Law degree, LPC, or equivalent legal qualification
- Experience using case management systems
- Knowledge of HM Land Registry procedures
