Commercial Gas Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client, a well-established and growing Building Services provider. This is a mobile role covering multiple commercial sites, offering long-term stability and excellent earning potential.
Location: Mobile covering the South East
Ideal candidate location: Kent
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of commercial premises, ensuring all gas and mechanical systems remain fully operational and compliant. Travel between sites is incorporated into the working day.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on commercial boilers, heating systems, pumps, valves and associated plant
• Servicing commercial gas plant and plant room equipment
• Fault finding, isolation and rectification of gas and mechanical issues
• Testing, purging and commissioning in line with Gas Safe regulations
• Attending breakdowns, repairs and emergency callouts
• Supporting minor installation works, upgrades and refurbishments when required
• Maintaining accurate service reports and gas safety documentation
• Ensuring the highest health & safety standards are always adopted
• Providing professional updates and technical advice to clients on site

• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications including COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A (or equivalent)
• Commercial Catering Gas qualifications (CODC1, COMCAT1, COMCAT2, COMCAT3, COMCAT) desirable
• Domestic Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) desirable
• Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
• Good communication and IT skills for job reporting systems

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (40-hour week), with participation in an agreed out-of-hours call-out rota. Flexibility is required to ensure essential services remain operational.
You will need to demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and a flexible approach to meet operational demands across multiple sites.

• £45,000 - £60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
• Working hours: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
• Travel incorporated into the working day
• Call out rota (agreed in advance)
