Hgv 2 Driver

We are seeking a professional HGV Skip Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy goods vehicles, specifically skip lorries, to transport waste materials efficiently and in compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a reliable and experienced driver with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. 47.5 hours paid.

Duties

• Operate HGV skip lorries in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
• Collect and deliver skips to various locations, ensuring timely service
• Sheet/cover the skips
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and mileage
• Ensure all cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent accidents or spillage
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to protect oneself and others on site
• Assist with manoeuvring flatbed or other specialised vehicles as required

Requirements

• Valid HGV licence with relevant categories for skip lorry operation
• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with delivery driver experience involving heavy goods vehicles
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently under minimal supervision
