Leading international engineering company is looking for either a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor level candidate for a long term contract opportunity. This position will see you work on a major engineering programme in Dublin which is being delivered from the UK but will require travel to Ireland for a couple of days every fortnight with all expenses paid. We are looking for candidates who ideally have experience of procurement through to contract management using the NEC contract within a rail or infrastructure sector. Key Responsibilities: Manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules Lead on commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement Provide proactive advice and guidance on all change including proposed scope changes Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract including NEC and ICC terms Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly Manage the final account settlements Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes Job Requirements: Educated to a degree standard in a related subject or Associate Member of a relevant professional institute with Chartered status is preferred Knowledge and experience of NEC 3 and/or NEC 4 contracts Experience in the Rail sector is preferable Experience working in a similar role with consultancies, clients or main contractors delivering Civils, M&E, and Railway infrastructure projects will also be considered Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of the role Good communication skills This role can be based remotely with biweekly travel to the Dublin office.
