I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive electronics specialist. This growing workshop focuses on high-quality vehicle upgrades including car audio systems, security installations and in-car technology enhancements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for cars and hands-on technical ability who is looking to build a long-term career in automotive electronics.
Day to day of the Electrical Car Technician:
- Assisting with installation of speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, head units and infotainment systems
- Supporting the fitting of vehicle security systems such as alarms, immobilisers and tracking devices
- Installing accessories including dash cameras, reversing cameras and parking sensors
- Conducting basic fault-finding and testing using equipment such as a multimeter
- Removing and refitting interior trims and panels carefully and professionally
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness and adhering to health & safety standards
This role would suit someone who already has some hands-on experience and wants to take the next step professionally.
Requirements of the Electrical Car Technician:
- Basic knowledge of vehicle electrics and wiring
- Experience using a multimeter (testing voltage, continuity, resistance, etc.)
- Practical experience upgrading vehicles on a basic level (e.g. fitting audio components, dash cams, reversing sensors or similar)
- Need a Driving License
- A strong interest in cars and aftermarket vehicle enhancements
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
- A proactive, reliable work ethic
