A well-regarded commercial law firm in Manchester is looking to recruit an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its growing employment team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident employment lawyer seeking high-quality work, strong client exposure, and a supportive team environment within an established regional practice.
The Role
You will handle a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising both employers and senior employees. The role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to work closely with partners and clients across multiple sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters
- Managing employment tribunal claims from inception through to hearing
- Drafting employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
- Advising on redundancies, restructures, and TUPE matters
- Providing strategic HR and employment law advice to employer clients
- Supporting corporate transactions with employment law input
About You:
The firm is seeking a solicitor who can demonstrate:
- 4+ years' PQE in employment law
- Strong experience in both contentious and advisory employment work
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and pragmatic problem-solving ability
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently when required
