Yard Support Operative

Are you a practical, hardworking person who enjoys being active and working outdoors? Do you take pride in keeping things running smoothly and efficiently? If so, we want you to join our Operations team as a Yard Support Operative!

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You ll play a key part in keeping our yard and equipment in top shape, ready for the team to deliver on time, every time.

What you ll be doing:

• Attend daily 7:30am Toolbox Talks to start the day safe and informed

• Keep the yard clean, safe, and organised your space, your responsibility

• Carry out equipment inspections, servicing, and maintenance

• Prepare and pick equipment for upcoming jobs

• Load and unload equipment using counterbalance forklifts and telehandlers

• Secure loads safely using ratchet straps and ensure trailers meet VOSA requirements

• Assist with stock control, asset tagging, and annual stock checks

• Perform manual lifting and handling of stock, scaffolding, and equipment

• Support general yard and operational tasks as needed

What we re looking for:

• Reliable, hardworking, and practical

• Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence

Bonus skills (not essential but a plus):

• Experience in construction, site work, or a yard environment

• Familiarity with scaffolding, plant equipment, or warehouse operations
