Driving Quality Excellence: Apply robust Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles to deliver right-first-time tooling solutions. You'll champion a zero-defect mindset and support the development of best practices throughout the team. Technical Leadership & Delivery: Define technical requirements and specifications for new and modified tooling systems. Make key design decisions, approve manufacturing drawings, FEA/stress reports, and ensure CE marking and compliance, where required. Take ownership of tooling projects-from concept through to commissioning-across Experimental, Production, and Aftermarket build lines. Coordinate with customers and suppliers, place tooling orders, and provide ongoing technical oversight to ensure delivery to quality and timeline expectations. Support fleet issues and emergent requirements with agile tooling responses, including rapid design, validation, and deployment. Create tooling process documentation, including build sequences and user training materials, and contribute to PFMEA and risk reviews. A degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or design engineering (or equivalent relevant experience). Strong CAD capability, with proficiency in Siemens Nx (or willingness to learn fast). A good understanding of engine build or overhaul processes, gained through hands-on experience or subsystem design/manufacturing roles. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply root cause analysis to technical challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex technical information clearly. Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and industrialisation processes (preferred). A proactive mindset with a strong drive for personal and professional development.
