Rewinder / Print Finisher - Packaging & Labels Location: Nottingham Salary: DOE Company: A leading packaging and labels manufacturer. Role : An excellent opportunity has arisen for a rewinder / print finisher to join a leading organisation. You will work within a press team and be responsible for completing the finishing of the master reel to clients specifications. The operator transforms the printed product into a usable form through slitting, rewinding and counting, while carrying out inspection of the printed labels or reels. Operating finishing machine to convert materials to finished goods. Ability to read and follow work order specifications. Setup and operation of rewind machines. Good eye for detail required to inspect quality of labels and produce jobs to the instructions provided. Strong IT skills required to operate using management information system. Ad hoc tasks: packing and other finishing tasks. Job may also require assisting in other areas of production. Based from their Northants HQ, it s a great opportunity to join a very skilled printing team who have achieved BRC AA grade certification. As a Flexographic Print Minder, you will manage the printing of flexographic self-adhesive labels on various materials, as well as linerless labels. They will provide full initial & ongoing training on all areas of their Production equipment, but demonstrable experience of running Flexo prining presses is essential, as they currently have a range of 7 state-of-the-art Edale printing presses in operation within their flexographic printing division, including 2 x FL1 promotional label presses, 4 x FL3 Flexo label printing presses and a Graphium Digital-Flexo Hybrid press. Responsibilities: Operate flexographic printing press as required to print self-adhesive and linerless labels. Organise systems to ensure all jobs for print shift are ready. Manage print and colour consistency, updating colour standard documentation. Assist in the planning of print trials for new packaging projects Ensure daily schedules are met. Complete documentation for traceability and BRC. Daily maintenance and care of print machinery. Skills & requirements: An excellent team working ethic. Diligent and attentive to detail. A minimum of 1 year flexographic print experience is preferred. A pro-active, problem solving approach. Job Description: Print Operator Location: Corby Salary: £14 per hour Shifts: 4 on / 4 off, rotating days / nights I am looking for a Print Operator to work in a factory environment assisting the Print Manager with ensuring the Print Department is operating to its maximum efficiency to produce high quality products in a safe environment. The Main responsibilities of this role are outlined below: Check the production plan and set up and operate the printing press according to job specifications, running the main press to optimum levels driving performance and output. Understand technical requirements specific to print quality and artwork guidance Understand and alter colours as required Load substrates and inks, adjusting the press setting for tension, speed, colour registration etc. To keep optimum quality throughout on all machines whilst adhering to the works order specification sheets Inspect printed output for colour accuracy, print clarity and overall quality, adjusting as necessary. Ensuring production within the department is run to highest possible. Train all new department staff to be sufficiently competent on each Support with plate laying whenever necessary to ensure the smooth running of work. Organise the shift to drive optimum performance & output from each team member. Complete stock takes each week and pass to Production Support. Label, wrap and strap pallets ensuring labelling is clear as per the specified sheet. Ensure all production sheets are filled out correctly and accurately. Ensure samples are taken and all QC paperwork is filled out correctly. Achieve daily production targets set by management.
