You will also be responsible for supporting project management as well as business development activities under the guidance of the respective teams. The position is largely based in our Cambridge office however you will have the opportunity for some travel, this could be UK-wide, within Europe, the United States or the Far East. What you'll do As a Supply Scientist, you'll investigate water quality issues, guide operational decision making and build strong relationships across the business, all to ensure our customers continue to receive safe, high quality drinking water. Your key responsibilities will include: leading investigations into water quality incidents and customer contacts, directing immediate actions and identifying root causes and long term solutions producing clear, evidence based reports that support operational and regulatory decision making building strong partnerships with water production, networks, catchment, compliance, engineering and laboratory teams communicating complex scientific issues simply and confidently to senior stakeholders reviewing Drinking Water Safety Plan (DWSP) risks from source to tap, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards analysing trends in chemical, physical and microbial water quality data to identify emerging risks and recommend practical interventions maintaining operator training materials and supporting upskilling across operational teams supporting environmental compliance, including OSM requirements and pollution reporting managing the return of activated carbon after regeneration, carrying out jar testing to optimise chemical use and analysing algae in our impounding reservoirs. A valid driving licence is essential for this hybrid office/site based role, with regular visits required to water treatment centres and network sites. Your Responsibilities Goods In and Material Control Perform quality checks on raw materials, packaging components, and consumables. The position requires close collaboration with subsurface, drilling, and operations teams, as well as engagement with joint venture partners. Key Roles and Responsibilities Develop, update and maintain 3D geological and reservoir models. Integrate seismic (including seismic attributes), well log, core, and production data to refine reservoir understanding. Quantify uncertainties and support scenario-based modelling for field development and infill well planning. Collaborate with reservoir engineers to ensure models are fit-for-purpose for simulation. In collaboration with team geoscientists and reservoir engineers, support and advise reservoir static model updates for history matching. Infill Well Planning & Operations Identify and mature infill drilling opportunities to maximize recovery. Perform reservoir mapping, volumetrics, and risk assessments for proposed well locations.
