Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Compression Operators (Pharma) to join a growing pharmaceutical company based in Oxford. Due to a significant period of expansion, we have multiple opportunities available. This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on the production of medicinal products including tablets (pills), liquids, and gels within a regulated cleanroom environment. Candidates must have previous experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing , with a strong understanding of GMP standards and production processes. This role is commutable from Oxford, Woodstock, Bicester, and Witney. Role: Compression Operators (Pharma) Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire Hours: Full-time, 08:00 - 16:30 Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup Install punches and dies Set compression force, speed, and fill depth Ensure correct tooling for the product Material Handling Load granules or powder into the hopper Check material flow and prevent segregation Process Monitoring Monitor tablet weight, hardness, thickness, and appearance Adjust machine parameters in real time In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) Perform routine checks (e.g., every 15-30 minutes) Record data according to GMP documentation 5Troubleshooting Identify defects like: Capping Lamination Sticking/picking Adjust pressure, speed, or lubrication Cleaning & Maintenance Clean machine parts between batches Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines Report wear or damage to tooling About You: Essential: Previous experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing Experience working in regulated production environments (cleanroom experience desirable) Experience within a Compression Operator role is highly desirable. Strong understanding of GMP and compliance procedures High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively within a team No candidate will meet every single desired qualification listed. Flexo Printer, Label & Packaging Solutions Impressive & increasingly high profile Flexo & Litho Print, Packaging & Labelling Solutions business, seek an experienced Flexo Printer to further strengthen their expanding Production Services team. Based from their Northants HQ, it s a great opportunity to join a very skilled printing team who have achieved BRC AA grade certification. As a Flexographic Print Minder, you will manage the printing of flexographic self-adhesive labels on various materials, as well as linerless labels. They will provide full initial & ongoing training on all areas of their Production equipment, but demonstrable experience of running Flexo prining presses is essential, as they currently have a range of 7 state-of-the-art Edale printing presses in operation within their flexographic printing division, including 2 x FL1 promotional label presses, 4 x FL3 Flexo label printing presses and a Graphium Digital-Flexo Hybrid press. Responsibilities: Operate flexographic printing press as required to print self-adhesive and linerless labels. Organise systems to ensure all jobs for print shift are ready. Manage print and colour consistency, updating colour standard documentation. Assist in the planning of print trials for new packaging projects Ensure daily schedules are met. Complete documentation for traceability and BRC. Daily maintenance and care of print machinery. Skills & requirements: An excellent team working ethic. Diligent and attentive to detail. A minimum of 1 year flexographic print experience is preferred. A pro-active, problem solving approach.
