Electronics Technician

We are seeking a hands on Electronics Technician to support the build, test and fault finding of advanced low volume vehicles. Working within a fast paced prototype and development environment, you will be involved in electronics assembly, diagnostics, soldering, and wiring loom creation and repair.

The Electronics Technician will:

• Assemble electronic sub systems to engineering drawings, schematics and CAD based assembly documentation.
• Carry out precision soldering at PCB and loom level in line with IPC standards.
• Build, modify and repair LV and HV wiring looms for prototype vehicle development.
• Perform diagnostics and fault finding using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators and power supplies.
• Support vehicle integration activities, including electrical installation, routing and connector setting in.
• Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of electrical and electronics issues.

The Electronics Technician will have:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (IMI or City & Guilds Level 4 advantageous)
• Hands on experience in electronics assembly, diagnostics and repair within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or similar environments.
• Proven experience with precision soldering (PCB and loom level) to IPC standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and CAD models for build navigation.
• Experience working with LV and HV looms, soldering, diagnostics and in vehicle electrical fault finding.
• Proficiency with MS Office and industry standard diagnostic software.
