A well-established environmental consultancy with a strong reputation for high-quality ecological work is looking for an Ecologist to join its growing Bath team. With projects ranging from local developments to large, multi-phased schemes, you'll gain exposure to varied, meaningful work in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting field surveys (PEA, bats, badger, reptiles, GCN, dormouse - licence dependent)
  • Producing clear, high-quality ecological reports
  • Supporting Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, mapping and data analysis
  • Assisting with mitigation strategies and protected species licence applications
  • Contributing to habitat management plans and enhancement designs
  • Working closely with clients, regulators and internal teams

You'll have the autonomy to manage standard sites while developing further under experienced ecologists.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years' consultancy experience
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or related field
  • Strong understanding of wildlife legislation and survey best practice
  • Bat survey experience essential (licences desirable)
  • Confident undertaking extended habitat surveys (FISC Level 3 desirable)
  • ACIEEM or working towards
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Flexibility during survey season (including some evening/night work) is required, with TOIL in place.

The Package

  • Up to 34,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working (2 days working from home)
  • Paid CPD (up to 5 days per year) + professional fees covered
