Senior Sous Chef position available in a large hotel in Falmouth.
My client are seeking a talented, driven and experienced Senior Sous Chef to strengthen their kitchen brigade. This is a key leadership role within the culinary team, supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food across restaurant, weddings, events and seasonal offerings.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen, promoting consistency, quality and teamwork.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard.
- Maintain strong control over food quality, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal changes and special event menus.
- Manage stock control, ordering and wastage to maintain GP targets.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant or hotel environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent knowledge of fresh, seasonal ingredients and modern cooking techniques.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a busy service environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to excellence.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene (or equivalent) preferred.
