Due to continued growth and new contract wins, we are expanding our team and recruiting for: Maintenance Operative / Handyperson In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality maintenance service across our premises, responding promptly and effectively to reactive repairs and general maintenance requests. Your key focus will be to diagnose issues, complete repairs efficiently, and achieve a first-time fix wherever possible, while maintaining excellent workmanship and safety standards. You will manage a variety of tasks, including planned and reactive maintenance, minor repairs, fault finding, basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, fixtures and fittings, and general building upkeep. You will be expected to prioritise workloads, attend jobs promptly, and ensure all work is completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to our operations. As a Maintenance Operative / Handyperson, you will take pride in maintaining a safe, functional, and well-presented environment. You will use your practical skills and experience to resolve issues, identify potential improvements, and support the wider team in keeping the premises running smoothly. What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing and general maintenance tasks. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests. Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of common areas, including hallways, stairwells, and storage yards. Assist with the supervision of maintenance staff and contractors. Provide excellent customer service to tenants by addressing their concerns and resolving any maintenance-related issues. Strong leadership skills with the ability to work alone or in a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Previous experience in a maintenance role preferred. Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
