You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers- The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) Routine (and preventative) maintenance MOT preparation Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards 6 (or 8) weekly inspections Correction of running defects Chassis and fabrication work Hydraulics and pneumatics Improvement of vehicle standards Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent. Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence. So what are you waiting for.
