Job Title: 1:1 SEN Tutor - English & Maths
Location: Newcastle (Local Library, NE5)
Pay: £30 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 2 hours per day)
Schedule: Term-time, during school hours
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and supportive 1:1 SEN Tutor to work with a Year 8 student in the NE5 area. The student is currently working below age-related expectations and requires tailored support in English and Maths. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping the student build confidence and close learning gaps in a calm, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
Targeted Tuition: Deliver 2-hour daily sessions focused on foundational literacy and numeracy.
Curriculum Adaptation: Break down complex concepts into manageable, engaging tasks tailored to the student's learning pace.
Environment Management: Provide a structured yet relaxed learning space at the local library.
Relationship Building: Develop a safe, trusting connection to help the student overcome barriers to learning.
