Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative Tilbury Docks

Streamline Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client based within Tilbury Docks.
This is a long-term position offering full-time hours, consistent work, and an excellent working environment within a leading logistics operation.

The Role

You ll be working within a busy import warehouse handling a variety of materials including timber panel products, cocoa, and coffee sacks.
This is a hybrid forklift and warehouse position, meaning you ll be expected to operate a Counterbalance forklift as well as assist with manual warehouse duties when required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely unloading containers using a Counterbalance forklift

  • Palletising and stacking bags of food produce weighing up to 70kg (team lifts)

  • Handling raw materials such as timber panels, cocoa, and coffee

  • Supporting warehouse operations with general duties including wrapping, labelling, and housekeeping

  • Completing basic documentation and ensuring goods are stored correctly

  • Working closely with the warehouse team to maintain a safe and efficient operation

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday

  • Rotating weekly shifts: 06 00 / 10 00

  • Occasional overtime available during busy periods

Pay & Benefits

  • £13.50 £14.42 per hour (inclusive of weekly attendance bonus at £13.50 rate)

  • Weekly pay, PAYE

  • Long-term, ongoing position with potential to go permanent for the right candidate

Requirements

  • Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited in-house licences not accepted)

  • Previous experience unloading containers and working in a manual environment

  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 70kg with assistance)

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures
