Due to increased workload and an expansion to our current Production team, we are seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team in Gloucester.

You'll work within a high performing, precision production environment, and gain valuable experience in aircraft production.

You'll have opportunities to learn and progress, with investment being made on site it's an exciting time to join our growing local team!

What will I be doing?

As a Manual Machinist within our Landing Systems MRO division, you will work within a high precision prodcution environment, machining a range of components for world leading landing gears.

  • Set up and operate various machine tools
  • Produce and repair aircraft parts to a high standard/tolerance
  • Machine parts, working to various aerospace specifications
  • Take ownership and pride in the production of your work, adopting a right first time approach to all components

What you'll need:

  • An Engineering Apprenticeship ideally gained in the aerospace or manufacturing sector (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrable manual machining experience gained within a fast paced manufacturing/production environment
  • Excellent team working ability
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Willing to train and take on board new skills
  • An understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5s principles
