TeacherActive is delighted to partner with a Welsh Medium Primary School in Barry seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to help nurture and develop pupils learning in a vibrant and engaging environment. The school values creating a supportive space that fosters curiosity and enjoyment in learning.

• Provide effective support to pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
• Assist in delivering lessons through the medium of Welsh.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including managing challenging behaviour sensitively and professionally.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team to promote a positive learning environment.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.

• Experience of working with children aged 5 to 11 years in a primary school setting.
• Fluency in Welsh is essential.
• Level 2 or 3 qualification, or a minimum of six months experience in an educational environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
