Job Overview Due to increased investment at Vuba, we are expanding our own fleet of Vehicles and require more HGV drivers to join the business. In your role, you will transport palletised building materials to our customers. This will involve liaising with the Transport Planning team in the office and dealing directly with our customers on site to ensure timely, safe and secure delivery of goods. Successful applicants will undertake a 2 week on the job training program to ensure they are confident to deliver the product with the high level of customer service we require. The workload will be varied, with a mixture of local work and longer distance customer deliveries and backloads, involving some nights away each week. The vehicle you will be driving is a lorry and drag combination meaning flexibility is key as some days you will be driving a rigid and other days you will have the trailer with you. The majority of customer deliveries will be made using the truck mounted forklift, so the ability to plan and problem solve whilst on site is a must. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailer stores. Our Class 1 jobs do require handball and manual work, which can be physically demanding.
