Service Engineer (Generators)

• My client is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to support the maintenance and management of their contracted generator service schedules and hire fleet. The role involves carrying out routine servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and basic repairs on diesel generators to ensure reliable operation and high service standards for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel generator sets.
• Support the delivery of contracted generator service schedules.
• Inspect, maintain, and prepare generators within the hire fleet for deployment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out minor mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company health and safety procedures.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure equipment readiness and efficient service delivery.

Requirements:

• Experience servicing and maintaining diesel generators or similar power generation equipment.
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs in the field or workshop.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage scheduled service tasks.
• Full UK driving licence
