are looking for a Logistics & Shipping Manager to join a fast paced manufacturing and distribution company based near Poole.
The ideal candidate will have experience within transportation, distributions and shipping roles, the essential part of this role is to ensure all orders and products and distributed successfully.

For the Logistics & Shipping Manager the key responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinate dispatch schedules to ensure products reach customers and distribution hubs on time.
  • Plan and manage inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs partners.
  • Manage all shipping and export/import documentation, including customs paperwork and transport records.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce freight spend and improve delivery performance.
  • Lead team meetings and encourage a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
  • Apply best practices in routing, load planning, and shipment visibility.
  • Carry out risk assessments related to transport and shipping activities.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of logistics staff.
The Logistics & Shipping Manager role may also include further duties when and if the company requires the support.

To be considered for this Logistics and Shipping Manager role:
  • Proven experience in shipping & logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
  • Experience managing logistics operations including freight coordination, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Ability to negotiate with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics providers to optimise cost and delivery performance.
  • Proficiency in logistics systems, ERP platforms, and shipment tracking tools.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership experience, including supervising logistics or warehouse teams.
  • Ability to analyse logistics KPIs and data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
