We are recruiting an experienced Factory Manager / Factory Operations Manager to support a busy food manufacturing site in Leicester. This business requires strong, hands-on operational leadership to stabilise performance, drive improvements, and get the factory back on track during a critical period.
This role is highly visible, floor-based and operationally focused ideal for someone who leads from the front and can balance day-to-day control with strategic thinking.

The Opportunity
Lead a 50-strong production team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
High-care and low-care production areas, including full packaging operations
Site undergoing change and needing stabilisation, structure, and operational discipline
Immediate requirement for an experienced interim operator who can make an impact quickly
Opportunity to shape processes, improve performance, and build strong leadership behaviours

Package
£500 to £550 per day (all inclusive)
Interim contract, with potential for extension 6 months min
On-site, full-time role
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a Factory Manager, Factory Operations Manager, or similar senior production leadership role
Strong background in food manufacturing operations
Solid working knowledge of BRC and food safety compliance
Ability to lead from the front boots on the ground, highly visible, and respected on the shop floor
Able to restore control, introduce structure, and drive performance in fast-moving environments
Skilled at balancing hands-on leadership with strategic direction when required
Experience managing high- and low-care production areas
Strong communicator who can influence, motivate, and build trust quickly
Comfortable in a business that needs stabilisation and operational uplift
