Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Paraplanner to provide high-quality technical and planning support to Financial Planners, helping to deliver clear, well-structured and compliant advice that genuinely meets client needs.

This is a varied and engaging role within a growing and supportive team, offering exposure to a broad range of planning scenarios and the opportunity to make a real contribution to client outcomes and business growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports in a timely manner
  • Support Financial Planners with client meeting preparation, follow-up and documentation
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate to help capture objectives and key information
  • Assist with ongoing client service delivery, including annual reviews and review packs
  • Prepare cashflow modelling and supporting analysis where required
  • Respond to client queries where appropriate, ensuring a professional and client-focused approach
  • Work closely with the wider paraplanning team to manage workflow and meet agreed timescales
  • Maintain a pragmatic, commercial approach to prioritisation and delivery
  • Contribute positively to team culture, knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records, complete continuing professional development and meet training requirements
  • Support the development of new or trainee team members where appropriate

About you

  • Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within a financial planning or wealth management firm
  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice (Level 4) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end advice process across a broad range of planning areas
  • Confident analysing products, solutions and risks to support appropriate client recommendations
  • Solid knowledge of the regulatory environment and governance requirements
  • Highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centric mindset
  • Excellent numeracy and report-writing capability
  • Experience using financial planning systems such as Xplan or similar
