HGV Tanker Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while driving. This role involves transporting waste across various locations, ensuring timely collections and deliveries. Whilst the majority of our work is vacuum taker worker the role does encompass working with bulkers when required. Experience with tankers and bulkers is highly desirable.

This role is a two week rotating shift pattern (working 5 days week one, 6 days week two) with nights out if required.

Higher hourly rate on weekends.

Duties

• Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport waste to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Conduct pre start inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate effectively with the Transport Team and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements

• Valid HGV driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations.
