Mechanical Chargehand

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Chargehand on a 6 month rolling contract based in Scotland.

Role Summary

.This supporting role is to assist work within a site team on mechanical and electrical installation activities. Responsibility for the completion of task cards and associated on site quality documents as directed by the Site Supervisor. Reports to Site Supervisor or as required by deployment. Duty of care for themselves and all individuals on site to ensure that they work safely at all times.

1. Works to all applicable procedures as briefed in the site induction including control of access to their allocated work area.
2. Carries out any other duties within their competence to the relevant quality / industry standards as directed by the Site Team Lead or Site Supervisor.
3. Operate within timescales set out by their Site Supervisor and highlight potential deviations in advance including coordinating with other work parties to ensure efficient and safe working by all.

Requirements

Experience in a Mechanical Chargehand / Supervisor role on substations.

SSSTS

Telehandler / MEWP

CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport.

Lift Supervisor

Slinger/Signaller

Manual Handling.

Vehicle Marshall
Working at Height.
Fire safety awareness

SSE, Scottish Power / NG Person BESC etc.

NG Competent Person NSI6.
NG Competent Person NSI8. (Limited).
