Job Description

Carlton Young specialise in the recruitment of Accountancy, Finance, HR & Insurance professionals.

SLIP TECHNICIAN - FULLY REMOTE - £35 - 40k

Role Profile:

Support brokers by preparing, reviewing, and processing insurance/reinsurance documentation, including Slips, Market Reform Contracts (MRCs), endorsements, and technical documents. Ensure accuracy, compliance with market standards, and timely delivery to internal teams, clients, and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and format Slips, MRCs, endorsements, and cover notes according to London Market standards.

Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.

Input and maintain risk data in internal systems.

Manage documentation flow between brokers, clients, and underwriters.

Support audits, MI reporting, and data quality initiatives.

Liaise with stakeholders to clarify information or correct errors.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

Experience in London Market or commercial insurance operations.

Knowledge of Slip/MRC structure and terminology.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Understanding of underwriting flows and document management.

Proficient in MS Word & Excel.

Good communication and teamwork skills; able to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

Experience with broking platforms (PPL/MRC 2.0).

Knowledge of Lloyd s processes and regulatory requirements.

Familiarity with open market placements or binding authority formats.

Personal Attributes:

Highly organised, methodical, and proactive.

Team-oriented and service-driven.

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Education:

Minimum: A Level or equivalent.

CII qualification (Cert CII or in progress) desirable.
