Are you a Highway Maintenance Supervisor experienced in overseeing works including footpath construction, kerbing, resurfacing (machine and hand lay), and Section 278 works. If so, then read on!

Our client is a leading Civil Engineering company delivering projects across the South East. As a trusted delivery partner to multiple clients in the highways sector.

Due to an increase in workload, they are now looking for an experienced Highway Maintenance Supervisor to join the team.

Salary to 65k Company Vehicle + Fuel card Stakeholder Pension 23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Highway Maintenance Supervisor Key Essentials:

  • Reporting to the Contracts Manager, as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor your role will involve managing teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards and highway specification
  • Ensure that streetwork permits and traffic management arrangements are in place before works commence
  • Coordinate labour, plant, and materials to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, traffic management and subcontractors
  • Monitor progress against programme and report updates to management
  • Identify and resolve site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the public
  • Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and photographic evidence

Highway Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor on civils maintenance works
  • Strong knowledge of footway construction, kerbing, resurfacing (hand and machine lay) and Section 278 works
  • Qualified with NRSWA Supervisor, SSSTS and CSCS Gold Card
