Job Description

Join a Chartered, Independent Firm Where Technical Excellence Is Valued

This is a Chartered, independent financial planning firm that is fully integrated into the community and has built around a genuinely client-centric philosophy.

The business is led by hands-on Chartered directors who work directly with clients and have grown the firm organically. They have trained and developed their own people over many years, creating a collaborative culture where technical quality, professionalism, and long-term client relationships are central to everything they do.

This is not a corporate or volume-driven environment. It is a values-led firm where paraplanners are viewed as technical specialists and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality holistic financial planning.

The firm is able to provide a route to becoming a financial planner.

Location: Lingfield, Surrey

Salary: Up to £50,000

Level: The firm is now seeking a Level 4 Qualified, experienced Paraplanner to join its technical team.

This role will suit someone who enjoys:

  • In-depth technical analysis and research
  • Working closely with experienced, Chartered advisers
  • Being part of a professional, supportive team
  • Producing clear, well-reasoned, client-focused advice
  • The successful candidate will be trusted with responsibility, actively involved in the advice process, and treated as an integral part of the firm - not a back-office function.
  • Supporting advisers in delivering a holistic financial planning service
  • Producing high-quality suitability reports and technical documentation
  • Undertaking detailed product, fund, and strategy research
  • Analysing full client financial positions using fact-finds and adviser input
  • Assisting with annual reviews and ongoing client servicing
  • Implementing agreed investment and planning strategies
  • Liaising with product providers and platforms
  • Preparing documentation and information for client meetings
  • Ensuring all work meets regulatory standards and Consumer Duty requirements

To be considered:

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified
  • Previous experience in a paraplanning role
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and written communication
  • Organised, professional, and client-focused
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with advisers

Why This Role:

  • Opportunity to join a Chartered, independent firm
  • Work within a client-focused, relationship-driven environment
  • Direct access to and collaboration with experienced advisers
  • A culture that values training, development, and retention
  • The chance to make a genuine impact on the quality of advice delivered to clients
