The business delivers a wide range of Civils schemes, including: groundworks, drainage, earthworks, structures and general infrastructure improvements. The Role As a Civils Foreman / Supervisor, you will oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with technical requirements. Role Site Engineer Reporting to Section Engineer / Senior Engineer Location: Copthall Tunnel North (UB9 6JL) Key Responsibilities • Day to day work site coordination and planning to ensure the works are carried out safely and efficiently. • Setting up work sites with General Foreman/ Works manager • Setting out various aspects of the works using GPS and Total Station • Working with the subcontractor to ensure the timely preparation Risk Assessment, Method Statements, Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, Inspection and Test Plans, Permits, Consents for the works and that these are implemented. • Effective recording of site works and delays using site diaries. • Ensuring Permit to Dig, Temporary Works and other safety systems are implemented • Liaison with the Section Foreman to ensure the adherence to safe methods of work. • Ensuring all temporary works needs are identified sufficiently early and completed in accordance with the relevant procedures. • Raising Non-Conformance Reports, Field Change Designs and Technical Queries. • Provide support, assistance, and information to other teams as necessary such as Community Relations, 3rd Parties and Logistics. Health, Safety & Environment • Ensuring health and safety is given the highest priority in the delivery of the works • Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies • Ensure that the Health Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented • Work collaboratively with the HS2 team and other contractors, subcontractors works packages to achieve the overall project goals Other Responsibilities • Ad hoc duties as required by the job Required Qualifications & Skills • Update the 6-weekly programme • Manage the supply chain to ensure that they deliver in an efficient way and in accordance with the Safety, Environmental and Quality requirement • Support with progressing quality handover: preparations of check-sheets and redlines • Ensuring all quality checks are carried out in accordance with the Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and properly recorded. • Degree or equivalent in civil / Environmental engineering or similar • Prior experience in Civil engineering / Infrastructure projects • Relevant CSCS Card Preferred Experience • Preferred experience in drainage, highway civils, earthworks

Due to the award of a major Water related scheme in the South West, our client, a top regional Civil Engineering Contractor has the need for a General Foreman to support a Pumping Station Construction scheme. The works involve the construction and refurbishment of pumping stations, M&E and MEICA works, confined space works, over pumping and dewatering works. This role is to supervise the main design and build works to two pumping stations, the MEICA and M&E elements are subcontract works, and the civils element will be self-delivery. Other duties will include overseeing labour and contractors on site, health & safety, daily diary and attending regular progress meetings with the client. To be considered, you will have SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS and will also have experience in the Water sector and ideally on Pumping Station schemes within this.
