Engineering Geologist

A well-established ground engineering consultancy in Bristol is looking to bring in an Engineering Geologist to support a growing pipeline of work across the South West. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years' experience who enjoys a mix of site work and reporting, and wants to be part of a close-knit team.
You'll be involved in a range of residential, commercial and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to both geotechnical and geoenvironmental aspects.
What you'll be doing
- Supervising ground investigations on site (trial pits, boreholes, logging)
- Soil and rock logging to current standards
- Collecting and managing samples for laboratory testing
- Assisting with factual and interpretative report writing
- Supporting geotechnical analysis and foundation recommendations
- Liaising with contractors and site teams
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained on site
What they're looking for
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related field
- Around 1-3 years' experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of ground investigation techniques
- Strong logging and report writing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Keen to learn and develop technically
