Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable MIG Welder to join our team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality MIG welding on a range of metal components while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other metals to a high standard
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
• Carry out basic fabrication tasks when required
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
• Relevant welding qualifications or certifications preferred but not essential

Working Hours

• Full-time position
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime may be available depending on workload
