Health and Safety Manager

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager on a 6 month rolling contract, based UK Wide.

To ensure the safe delivery of substation projects by implementing and maintaining robust health and safety standards across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Health & Safety (H&S) plans.
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across project teams and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
• Provide H&S guidance and support to project managers and site teams.
• Monitor subcontractor H&S performance and ensure adherence to agreed standards.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential).
• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within substations, power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM regulations.
• Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and method statement reviews.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
