Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager on a 6 month rolling contract, based UK Wide.
To ensure the safe delivery of substation projects by implementing and maintaining robust health and safety standards across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Health & Safety (H&S) plans.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across project teams and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
- Provide H&S guidance and support to project managers and site teams.
- Monitor subcontractor H&S performance and ensure adherence to agreed standards.
Requirements
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential).
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within substations, power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM regulations.
- Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and method statement reviews.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
