Job Description
Due to continued growth I m currently recruiting for a Forge Operative to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Forge Operative you will be responsible for operating counterbalance FLT s and overhead cranes.

Shift for the Forge Operative:
- Monday Thursday (6.00am 16.00pm)
Duties of the Forge Operative:
- Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers)
- Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment.
- Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop. (All LOLER and associated training will be provided)
- Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLT s and the cranes.
- Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane
- General cleaning, tidying and removing any unwanted items from the department.
- Support with continuous improvement
- Work as a team to maximise productivity.
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company s H&S Policy.
The successful candidate for the Forge Operatives position will have the following experience:
- 3 5 years experience operating Counterbalance FLT s (Essential)
- Experience working within a foundry (Desirable)
- Operating overhead cranes (Desirable)
