IT Support Engineer

Role: IT Support Engineer/Junior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Cheltenham (Office-based)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE)
Clearance eligibility: British Passport Holder with 10+ years of UK residency required

We are recruiting on behalf of a technology consulting firm that specializes in assuring the UK's National Infrastructure. As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide essential 1st and 2nd line support while gaining deep exposure to the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• M365 Administration: Managing Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.
• Cloud Operations: Supporting Azure fundamentals, including VMs, networking, and storage.
• Security & Compliance: Utilizing Intune for endpoint management and implementing Defender and Conditional Access policies.
• Automation: Using PowerShell to script routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Infrastructure: Troubleshooting networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN) and hardware issues.

What You'll Need

• Proven experience in M365 and Azure environments.
• A functional understanding of PowerShell for automation.
• Familiarity with modern security tooling (Defender/Purview).
• A genuine desire to pursue Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900) which the company will actively support.
