Location: Kingston, KT2
Contract: Long-term/Permanent
Day Rate: 108- 125
Start Date: ASAP
Commutable From: Surbiton, Richmond, Wimbledon, New Malden, Twickenham


The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly respected specialist school in the Kingston area.

The school specialises in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of additional SEN needs, providing a structured, nurturing, and well-resourced environment where pupils can thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an experienced and supportive team focused on delivering high-quality, personalised support.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism and SEN
  • Implement structured routines and Autism-specific strategies (e.g. visual supports, sensory regulation)
  • Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual needs
  • Help create a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Support the delivery of personalised interventions and EHCP targets


Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) and/or SEN
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to support sensory and emotional needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding, SEN practice, and inclusive education
