Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Product Analyst to support the delivery of business and digital change initiatives within a regulated financial services environment. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, product development, and data-driven decision-making.

You will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology to analyse user needs, define product requirements, and contribute to delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply appropriate business analysis and requirements management techniques, adapting to project complexity and context
  • Analyse user behaviour, data, and feedback to identify opportunities for product and service improvement
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, developers, designers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver product features
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery goals
  • Support backlog refinement using tools such as JIRA, ensuring well-defined and prioritised work items
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations that enhance product performance and user experience
  • Assist in user research activities (surveys, interviews, usability testing) to validate assumptions
  • Monitor product performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Promote a user-centred approach throughout the product life cycle
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and accessibility standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Product Analysis, Business Analysis, or Change Delivery roles within business and IT environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge constructively
  • Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
  • Ability to quickly develop domain knowledge and engage with stakeholders effectively
  • Strong experience with:
    • User stories and acceptance criteria
    • Backlog management (eg, JIRA)
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as:
    • Excel, SQL, or Tableau
  • Familiarity with user research methods and techniques
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of REST APIs, data flows, and digital products (preferred)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within financial services or regulated environments
  • Exposure to business change, testing, or service design activities
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles
  • Experience working on end-to-end product life cycle delivery
