The role
As a Maintenance Engineer, responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive fault finding across site equipment
- Mechanical maintenance on conveyors, gearboxes, belts, pulleys, shafts and bearings
- Electrical fault finding using schematics, multi-meters and panel diagnostics
- Replacement and repair of mechanical and electrical components
- Supporting overall system performance within a fast-paced automated environment
What they re looking for
To succeed as a Maintenance Engineer, you will need:
- Level 3 engineering qualification (NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent), ideally mechanically biased
- Experience within manufacturing, production or automated distribution environments
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with basic electrical competency
- Ability to safely isolate equipment and work independently
- A hands-on, reliable approach suited to a shift-based Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role
