Principal Engineer - Electrical & ICA

A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist who has been awarded tier-one framework status with South West Water.

Abatecs client, a national contractor with a company turnover of 200 million, requires a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to be involved in Turnkey clean water with values from 20 million to over 100 million.

As Principal EICA Engineer you will be part of a team providing engineering design services to minimise our clients risks and maximise their profits. You will coordinate the design and produce design drawings and documents taking into account specifications, standards and health & safety requirements.

As Principal Electrical & ICA Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for producing cost-effective design layouts to meet specification requirements and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
• Ensure that designs take into account all environmental and health & safety requirements.
• Write, monitor and review procedures and processes, ensuring continued development of the department.
• Assist in supervising and developing staff.
• Coordinate designs with all internal and external stakeholders
• Provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
• Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.

Our client requires a Principal Electrical & ICA Engineer with:

• HND/Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• A membership of a professional institution (chartered)
• Experience of producing designs of process plant systems, ideally within the Water sector.
• Previous experience with managing a team of staff
• The ability to present technical proposals clearly and with confidence
• The ability to rationalise designs and produce cost-effective plant layouts.

Salary/Benefits:

• 70,000 - 75,000 per annum
• hybrid working
