Graduate Electrical Design Engineer

£32-35k + Life Assurance, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Support for ongoing personal learning and technical development

Graduate Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Work in close partnership with customers to solve complex engineering challenges using advanced control techniques
  • Design and develop automation systems and equipment from an existing product range
  • Contribute to the concept and detailed design of new automation control systems
  • Carry out detailed design of robotic, computer, and control system interfaces
  • Undertake systems engineering of electro-mechanical equipment
  • Program and configure robots and control systems
  • Produce technical specifications and documentation for equipment selection and development
  • Provide internal technical product support
  • Be involved in commissioning automated systems
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager
  • Opportunity to work on advanced automation, robotics, and control systems within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment

Graduate Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

  • B.Eng / M.Eng in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics preferred (HND/HNC with significant controls experience also considered)
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical systems design
  • Strong CAD skills (2D and 3D) Autocad
  • Experience with robot and control system programming/configuration advantageous
  • Able to clearly present and communicate design solutions
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to meet engineering deadlines and objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both independently and within a team
  • Willing to travel throughout the UK and overseas if required
  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

Located in Shropshire, this role would be commutable from Telford, Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Stafford.
