  • 38 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00)
  • Travel: 25-40% deployment required
  • SC/DV Cleared required: NATO Secret can be added

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator to support NATO. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical IT infrastructure, ensuring systems remain secure, available, and fully operational in mission-critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment and transition of the IT systems
  • Provide on-site, remote, and deployed technical support
  • Administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, Exchange
  • Manage VMware infrastructure (ESXi, vCenter, upgrades, deployments
  • Maintain SAN and NAS storage systems
  • Perform backups and recovery in line with SLA/SOPs
  • Manage certificates and system security
  • Support iSCSI configurations
  • Provide end-user support
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including urgent deployments
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure service continuity

Requirements & Skills

  • 3+ years' experience in enterprise system administration
  • Strong experience with: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange & VMware (ESXi, vCenter)
  • Experience with certificates and iSCSI
  • Good understanding of ITIL practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in mission-critical environments
  • Willingness to deploy at short notice
  • Desirable: VMware (VCP) or Microsoft certification, ITIL Foundation certification, & Experience with automation tools, eg, Ansible
