Job Description
The role of Family Fee Earner involves providing high-quality legal advice and case management within the family law department. The successful candidate manages a caseload relating to family law matters including divorce, child arrangements, financial settlements, domestic abuse, and other family-related issues. This position requires a strong commitment to client care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, ensuring timely and effective progression.
- Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients, maintaining a professional and empathetic approach.
- Conduct negotiations, prepare legal documents, and draught correspondence relevant to family law cases.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and other dispute resolution forums when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client files and case progress in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external professionals such as barristers, mediators, social workers, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm policies, including confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of family law services within the firm.
