Title: Manual Turning Machinist
Location: Rugby
Salary: Up to £17.50 per hour
Shift: Days

A great opportunity to join a team on nights working within multiple sectors as a manual turning machinist. You ll play a key role in working on one-off and small batch projects, this is a hands on position which will involve using a range of manual machines.


Manual Turning Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual centre lathes, including Heavy duty machines
  • Machining one-off or small batch projects
  • Breakdown, repair and modification work
  • Work from technical drawings and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Working on internal and external threads


Manual Turning Machinist Experience:

  • Five years experience in a Manual turning or machining position
  • Previous experience working on Colchester lathes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings with excellent attention to detail
  • Quality measuring devices micrometres, verniers, etc.
